IN YOUR FREEDOM
all i have is hope says: last week we did a study on the parable of the sower and the
types of grounds where are hearts are at what hinders growth how the seeds stolen etc. for
those who weren't here there is a link to the study in forums hopefully you will look at the
study afterwards and see that’s it all ties into what is being shared today
The Sower And The Seed
We could see through the study of the parable that the ground was are hearts so this week
I want to spend time look at some scriptures talking about hardness of the hearts and unbelief
We could see through the study of the parable that the ground was are hearts so this week I
want to spend
in your freedom wheres the connection or is their none
mark6 When the day was now far spent, His disciples came to Him and said, “This is a deserted
place, and already the hour is late. 36 Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding
country and villages and buy themselves bread;[e] for they have nothing to eat.”
38 But He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they found
out they said, “Five, and two fish.” 39 Then He commanded them to make them all sit down
in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties.
41 And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed
and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He
divided among them all. 42 So they all ate and were filled. 43 And they took up twelve baskets
full of fragments
As we look at this scripture we can see that the apostles said lord its late and we are not in a
place where there is food send them away so that they find some food but Jesus said no you
feed them and they said but lord we don’t have that much money shall buy what we can to give
them something to eat
Then Jesus instructed them and the people there where feed. What a sight that must have been,
if I was there I would have marvelled at what I'd just seen the lord do, it would have nocked
my socks of they must have been the same way
Mark6 45 Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other
side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away.
48 Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the
fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them
by. 49 And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and cried
out;
50 for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to
them, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” 51 Then He went up into the boat to them,
and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and
marvelled. 52 For they had notunderstood about the loaves, because their heart was hardened.
WHAT!!! As I looked at that’s scripture I was amazed and puzzled they had just seen Jesus
supernaturally seen the lord feed 5000 ppl and where shocked to see him walking across the
water to them
I couldn't get my head round it then the lord spoke to about miracles and healings id seen in
m y life and some things I new God could do and perform because it had said so in his word
but I didn’t see the result of it happening
I pondered theses things for a while and carried on looking into gods word for a while. I was
looking for an answer I was reminded by the lord that I had read this scripture many times
before and I remembered the lord saying for they had not considered or understood about the
loaves.
I used to read the king james bible and still do every now and then but hadn't done for a good
while believing that the word considered was over look in the new kjv so I tried to find the kjv
in bible gateway it wasn’t there any ways with this word still buzzing around my head I started
to look at other versions ,
until I came across what I was looking for in the amplified version. it’s a version I really like as
it expands words and give meanings to the great for me because if I don’t understand a word
I need it to be explained.
Mark 6 amp 50For they all saw Him and were agitated (troubled and filled with fear and dread).
But immediately He talked with them and said, Take heart! I AM! Stop being alarmed and
afraid
51And He went up into the boat with them, and the wind ceased ([v]sank to rest as if exhausted
by its own beating). And they were astonished exceedingly [beyond measure],
2For they failed to consider or understand [the teaching and meaning of the miracle of] the
loaves; [in fact] their hearts had grown callous [had become dull and had lost the power
of understanding].
the 1st point I noticed here that failed to consider or understand the teaching and the meaning
of the miracle that really spoke to me 1st of all Jesus asked them to feed the ppl and what did
that do they look in there wallets and said we haven't got enough money
then it hit me what they had done was look to the natural then even after the lord had
performed the miracle they had not considered it thought about it its no wonder when they
saw a storm rise up and Jesus walking on the water they freaked out.
I believe it was because they where in a natural state of mind having not considered the miracle
I believe that’s why they where greatly amazed in them selves Jesus had told them to get into
the boat they new there was a storm brewing but because they had look at the miracle in a
natural way
They were totally carnally minded I believe if they had understood the lesson and pondered on
it they would in fact have been looking for Jesus walking across the water to them they would
have been expecting it. It got me to thinking if they were hard hearted and they were right
beside Jesus
how hard hearted can we be
You know we hear testimonies all the time what the lords done in someone's life we either get
excited or some will try to disprove it say its not so and others will look for why it doesn't
always happen.
I believe from the revelation I received its one of the reasons why is because we just aren't
expecting it most are happy when they see it and it stirs their faith up but I think we are all
guilty in the same way the disciple were of having a hardened heart in some areas of life
towards the lord
How often when we see storms in our life do we look for a natural way out? Even we have seen
him deliver us supernaturally before
Romans 8:5-7 New King James Version (NKJV) 5 For those who live according to the flesh set
their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of
the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor
indeed can be
We need to live according to the spirit not are carnal self we need to come to a place where we
are dominated with seeing things spiritually expecting to see gods super natural power working
in are lives all the time. now we know this will take time and we may never truly get there but
I do believe that’s how god wants us to live

John 14 12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will
do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever
you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask
anything in My name, I will do it
1 John 4 17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day
of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect
love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect
in love. 19 We love Him because He first loved us
Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or
think, according to the power that works in us,
We can see in looking at those scriptures that we will do greater things than the lord did that
we are the same as he is in this world that he can do abundantly more than we can ask for
according to the power that works in us and I believe that hardness of the heart
has a great deal to do with why we don’t see more of the miracles of god the healing power
working through us.
Now I do believe there are other factors too. We looked at the types of grounds in the parable
of the sower, what also hinders gods power working and flowing through us, we can also have
doubt, we can also have unbelief.
Now I'm not just showing theses things to condemn or place a burden on any one. we all have
to receive theses truths by revelation but we can see what the scriptures say and if the disciples
had hardness of their hearts then
I'm almost certain that we struggle with the same and to me looking at the disciples and them
struggling in the same way we do just strengthened me made me realise they're just like we
are and they walked side by side with the lord
EnglishRose says: of course we struggle with those things
all i have is hope says: I now want to move on to the next thing that can hinder the
power of god flowing and working through us
all i have is hope says: unbelief
Matthew 17:19-21 New King James Version (NKJV) 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus
privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your
unbelief;[a] for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this
mountain,
Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting
Lets take a look at this scripture I've read it many times and for a long time always thought that
only prayer and fasting could cast out that type of demons but after studying it and meditation
and having a bible teacher helping me gain an understanding of it I saw the truth in it.
The disciples' unbelief in this instance was not a disbelief that God's power could produce
deliverance
Luke940 So I implored Your disciples to cast it out, but they could not.” 41 Then Jesus
answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear
with you? Bring your son here.”
And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. Then Jesus
rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.
but rather, it was a "natural" kind of unbelief that came from hardened hearts
mark6 51 Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly
amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marvelled. 52 For they had not understood about
the loaves, because their heart was hardened.
they were more sensitive to what they saw than to what they believed
Mark 9. 20 Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit
convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth. 21 So He asked
his father, “How long has this been happening to him?”
Jesus did not say that the reason these disciples could not cast this demon out was because
they didn't have faith but rather because they had unbelief. On the contrary, Jesus stated that
a very small amount of faith (the size of a "mustard seed") was sufficient to remove a mountain
if no unbelief was present to hinder it.
Most of us have the concept that we either have faith or unbelief but that we can't have both at
the same time. However, Jesus told Jairus to "believe only
Luke8 49 While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house,
saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.”[i] 50 But when Jesus heard
it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”
implying that faith and fear can operate in us at the same time. This was also the reason James
said not to be double-minded . We can be thinking faith yet having thoughts of unbelief at the
same time
james1 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without
reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who
doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose
that he will
Receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
these disciples did have faith to cast this demon out, and they exercised that faith but didn't see
the same results that they had seen before. This was why they were concerned and asked
Jesus what the problem was. They wouldn't have asked if they had not believed.
They did have faith, the same faith that had effected many other deliverances. The problem
wasn't their faith but rather their unbelief. Every believer has been given "the measure of faith,
" but unbelief negates it.
It's like hooking a team of horses up to a heavy weight and having them pull it. The weight will
move. But if an equal team of horses is hooked up to the same weight and pull in the opposite
direction at the same time, although great force may be exerted, the weight won't move.
Likewise, unbelief counterbalances our faith. If we will just remove the unbelief, a
mustard-seed amount of faith will be sufficient to move our problems
Instead of trying to build huge amounts of faith to overcome our fears and unbelief, a simpler
method is to remove our fears by cutting off their source; then our simple, "child-like" faith
that remains will do the job. It doesn't take big faith, just pure faith
Mark 9:23-25 New King James Version (NKJV) 23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all
things are possible to him who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and
said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” 25 When Jesus saw that the people came
running together
He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out
of him and enter him no more
help my unbelief!” please keep those words in your mind Jesus clearly said to him if you can
believe all things are possible all things that Christ has done instructed by the father we cant
just go around and say well I'm believing for an airplane
o be given to me or I'm believing that the sun changes from yellow to green
Jesus was talking about believing the things of god and his power we all need to come to a
place of understanding what gods done what he will do through us. we can't just name it and
clam it that’s just stupid but what we can claim is the truths that gods revealed in his word.
All of us have unbelief that’s a fact if we didn’t then we would see the things of god that he
speaks about come to pass in are lives just because we don’t see it come to pass we go round
saying things like well I'm not sure it is for every one god said he heals but I'm still sick so cant
be
oatker says: this is good stuff hope but have ya taken into account the baptism of the holy
ghost
all i have is hope says: he said I would go from glory to glory but doesn't seem to be
working so must mean something else I have found my self guilty of such thoughts and am
still guilty of them now . Sounds like the disciples seeing gods miracles, which we all have seen
that I am sure of.
To come to salvation it self was a miracle yet at some point we forget to keep theses things in
our minds ? When storms come we look at the natural things where by we harden are
HEARTS to the spiritual truths
Psalm 103 A Psalm of David. 1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me,
bless His holy name! 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life
from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the
eagle’s
I calling myself and I am calling you not to forget his benefits to consider the miracles and
healings he has done in our lives to keep our minds stayed upon he that keeps us in perfect
peace to come to him with a heart expecting to see his goodness and his power where by we
can give him glory
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 New King James Version (NKJV) 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not
carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every
high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity
to the obedience of
Father god we thank you for your life giving word I pray that it has quickened me and given
me greater understanding lord I ask you help me with my unbelief and I pray that I learn to
consider you in all your ways lord I pray if my hearts become hardened to you in any way that
you reveal it to
lord I ask for wisdom lord for you to show each of us the parts of are hearts that hinder your
growth and purpose in are lives in Jesus name I pray. AMEN
