Who Shall Ascend The Hill Of The Lord ?
Lord God In Jesus Name thankyou for your word that changes something
emtpy and barren into fullness and abundance.
Lord Father God we cling to you, our rock and shelter.
We depend on you...you are the air we breathe..you are our strong
fortress on which we can depend.
Come in Lord and sup with us, show us your ways, and have mercy Lord.
As we draw nearer to you Lord God and go onto the next level, help us
Lord not to fear but to go onwards even though it may be hard, thankyou
Lord that we can depend on you.
Thankyou Father in Jesus name amen.

I was asking questions about why certain things were happening in my
own life and God showed me two things.
The first was when I first became a Christian....at this time I was
completely and totally dependent on God and God asked me " What did
you need at this time " ?
The second was when I first started in bussiness as a self employed
person..at this time I again took a complete jump into the unknown
and acted on what God had said.
And I heard God say , " What did you need at this time " ?
It was at these times when I was completely dependent on God, I had
to trust in Him and these were the times when God worked so strongly
in my life and in me.
These are the times as a Christian when you have to let go of your
thinking and simply trust in God.
It is so easy to want to take control of a situation ourselves, but
there are times when there is nothing we can do, when we simply have
to hand things over to God.
These can be the times when from something barren and empty, God
can make an abundance.
This is the time when we can lift up our heads and let the King of
Glory do His work.

So lets look at psalm 24
Psalm 24 (King James Version)
v 3Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in
his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up
his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from
the God of his salvation.

I am going to share a short testimony with you, because it has to
do with this message.
Over some weeks I kept getting this verse, ( who shall ascend His Holy
Hill ) coming to mind and I knew God was speaking.
So I decided to meditate on this verse and to ask what it meant, this
word kept repeating over and over.
Then One night I had a dream.
In the dream ..I was sitting in my ministers/pastors lounge and he was
chatting away to me.
He took a glass of water and placed it on the edge of the arm rest and
before I could say " Its going to spill " over it went.
He carried on talking to me as if nothing had happened and then placed
a cup of something on the arm rest.Again before I could say, " its
going to spill " It went over onto the floor.
As I was fussing and trying to clean up the mess from the floor...he
carried on talking as if nothing had happened, it seemed as if he was
more interested in me than he was about the mess on the floor.
Then he said to me " Terry....you know ?..you've seen me dancing around
at Church ? you could be dancing around at the front of the Church
like me..."
Then he sat up and went to go upstairs, ( it was late ) and he said,
" you wait until 3am...great things are going to happen "
And as he walked upstairs...all I could think was, " I wonder if he
has remembered to lock the front door "
Well when I woke up from this dream..I knew that this was not an
ordinary dream..sometimes these dreams are so real they are more
lifelike than life itself.
And I spent the rest of the day seeking what this meant.

And again I kept getting psalm 24, " Who shall ascend the Hill Of
God " going through my mind.
.
Well Sunday arrived and off I went to Church.
The minister began talking about the sea and how the water sometimes
represented the storms of life...this incidently was at the time when
I was writing the last study about Jesus and Peter in the storm and
walking on the water.
You see we go to Church to hear God speak and to share what God has
done and to give glory to God.
The Minister began to speak and said " Today we shall be lookin at
Psalm 24....?
Now he began to speak about getting the mountain boots on and quoted
the verse, " Who shall ascend the Hill of God and stand on His Holy
Mountain "
And I said , " WOW " ( Not too loud so as not to attract attention )
And he began to speak about ascending this hill and how he believed
the Hill was Calvary.
Now at this point I was thinking what this bible/study message was
going to be about and I knew it would be about Isaac being a type of
Jesus in the Old Testament and it all started to click together.
You see...? Isaac ascended the Hill as a sacrifice...so too Jesus.
Well after the minister gave his message..we began to praise and
worship and he got excited....( as he sometimes does ) and began to
dance around the front of the Church with the children.
At this point he looked over and it hit me...!!! this was the dream.
Just as I had got over this..an elders wife came up to me and said.
" Terry I have a word for you " .......oops.
The word was a very long word and I cannot repeat everything as it
was a word specifically for me and would not make sense to anyone else.
But the word God gave me through her confirmed everything from the
dream.
Some of this word was about boldness and not being able to hold in
that which God was going to give ..( the spilt drink )
And about " Being a new day " ( 3am )
And God was going to do great things.
Well later on that day I was given another word.!!
This word spoke directly into me....as if God were speaking directly
into my being and I was knocked back by this.
Again I cannot repeat everything but.....
This word confirmed the previous word and it was about God doing great
things.
And so I decided later to pop into the chatrooms and say " Hello "
I logged into a room and the person typed.
" You know Guardian...the higher you get up the mountain ...the harder
it is to breathe "
Well I thought....why did he type that ?
Aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

And so this is God speaking.

Psalm 24 (Amplified Bible)
A Psalm of David.
1THE EARTH is the Lord's, and the fullness of it, the world and they
who dwell in it.
2For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the
currents and the rivers.
3Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in
His Holy Place?
4He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself
up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully.
5He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from
the God of his salvation.
6This is the generation [description] of those who seek Him [who
inquire of and for Him and of necessity require Him], who seek Your
face, [O God of] Jacob. Selah [pause, and think of that]!
7Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be lifted up, you age-abiding
doors, that the King of glory may come in.
8Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord
mighty in battle.
9Lift up your heads, O you gates; yes, lift them up, you age-abiding
doors, that the King of glory may come in.
10Who is [He then] this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the
King of glory. Selah [pause, and think of that]!

Psalm 24:6: "This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him,
who seek Your face." Why is Jacob mentioned here in verse 6? For two
reasons.
(Genesis 28) You see Jacob deceived his brother Esau...he was fleeing
for his life..he was leaving the land of blessing..the land of Gods
prescence and he travels to Bethel.
Jacob see's the ladder..On the steps of that ladder are angels
ascending and descending. And God speaks.
Genesis 28 v 13:
And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of
Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou
liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
He spoke to Jacob. Jacob saw the face of God...
Who shall ascend the Hill of The Lord ...
Psalm 24...v 9...that the King Of Glory may come in !!!
In Genesis 32,
Jacob wrestles with God. As dawn approaches, the Lord touches Jacob's
hip and cripples him.
God says to Jacob, "Let Me go for day breaks."
The Lord issues His warning to Jacob: "Jacob should you behold My
face in the daylight, I will slay you. Let Me go for the day breaks!"
Jacob responds: "Though it may cost me my life, I will not let You go!
Though You slay me, yet will I trust in You!"
Psalm 24 v 6:
6This is the generation [description] of those who seek Him [who
inquire of and for Him and of necessity require Him], who seek Your
face, [O God of] Jacob. Selah [pause, and think of that]!
Jacob named the place Peniel, "the face of God"
COMPLETE DEPENDENCE ON GOD:.
What did Jesus say ? on the Hill of Calvary ?
"Father, into Thy hands I commit My Spirit."
Psalm 24 speaks of Christ... Only those who cling to Him,
as Jacob clung to God .
Only those who cling to God as the Son clung to the Father.
They can ascend the hill of the Lord. They can stand in the presence
of the Holy God.
To depend fully, entirely, completely ...and utterly ...
To seek Gods face !!!
And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The
Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads,
O you gates!
Lift up you everlasting doors! And the King of glory
shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is
the King of glory."
Already now we are seated in the heavenly places in
Christ (Ephesians 2:6)!
There is a City On A Hill !!!

You see as Moses acsended the mountain ...so God said " let NO
unclean thing touch the mountain "
Exodus 19 v 12..(New King James Version)
You shall set bounds for the people all around, saying, ‘Take heed
to yourselves that you do not go up to the mountain or touch its base.
Whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death. 13 Not a
hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot with an
arrow; whether man or beast, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet
sounds long, they shall come near the mountain.

Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?
Or who may stand in His holy place?

Nor sworn deceitfully.

You see Moses ascended the mountain and he spoke with God, and
what was happening while Moses spoke with God ?
The people worshipped the golden calf...idol.

Abraham was seen as righteous...we are made righteous through
the blood of Jesus. ( Right With God )
Many have climbed this Hill, we can climb this Hill to see His Face.
We climb this Hill as a Living Sacrifice.
We offer up our lifes to the Saviour.
WE are REBORN...A MIRACULOUS BIRTH.
From something that was barren in the wilderness springs fourth life.
We are His Children ..obedient.
Abraham climbed this Hill to offer a Sacrifice.
Issac climbed this Hill as a sacrifice.
Moses Climbed this Hill to talk with God.
Jesus Climbed this Hill as a Sacrifice, the firstborn of a multitude
as numerous as the sand on the shore and the stars in the desert sky.
The stars that Abraham..Isaac..Jacob...Moses and Joseph and many more
must have gazed at in the clear desert sky.
You say " Joseph did not ascend a mountain ? " ahh yes he did.

Lord God in Jesus name thankyou that you came to set the captives free,
you came to heal the broken hearted, and in the land that was in
darkness, a new day has dawned, you give hope to the weary and you
set our hearts on fire.
Please pray with me and if you can speak the words with me God will
answer.
Lord Father God in Jesus mighty name.
I let you in....have your way in me.
I acknowledge that you want to move me on and I ask you to enter in
now and have your way...thankyou Lord In Jesus name amen.
